Making the decision to have weight loss surgery may be difficult for people as there are many considerations to take into account
such as cost, risk of surgery and making such a large lifestyle change. Quite often you may not know anyone else who has had the same or similar experience to learn from or question. You may have already had weight loss surgery and feel isolated, going through this huge change without anybody around you who quite understands what you’re going through.
We have previously posted a blog on the different ways technology can help you with your weight loss journey, for example apps to track your eating/exercise/weight loss, Fit Bits and online support programs. What we didn’t mention are the vast amount of weight loss surgery blogs that are online, written by real people who are telling their story in their own u
nique way.
Some people find that documenting their weight loss through a blog helps keep them on track and keep them accountable. We’re not suggesting that you start your own blog (although if you do then that’s also fantastic) but we have put together a few links below of some interesting weight loss surgery blogs for you to read.  Maybe you’re looking for some inspiration or motivation, or just a bit of bedtime reading to understand what the surgery involves outside of the doctors office.

There are hundreds if not thousands of blogs on the subject online, as well as weight loss blogs written by people that haven’t had surgery but still promote the same healthy eating and living that you are asked to adhere to following your surgery.
You will find that there are others who are in the same situation commenting on the blog, often offering words of encouragement or telling their own tale. There is a massive online community including chat rooms about the subject, a simple Google search will help navigate you there.
Of course you can also read our blog offering advice and support on weight loss surgery or if you are considering weight loss surgery please call our team on 02 9553 1120 for more information.
